DMS Plant Operator (Coal Washing)

The iron ore beneficiation plant near Epping needs operators who can run their area safely on a 24-hour shift cycle. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at an iron ore beneficiation plant in Epping. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Start up, run and shut down crushers, screens and conveyors in sequence
• Log plant readings and downtime on the shift log
• Watch mill loads, cell levels and densities on the SCADA screens
• Hand over the plant to the next shift with a clear status report
• Clear blocked chutes safely under isolation
• Call maintenance for bearing noise, belt damage or leaks

• Grade 12 with mathematics and physical science
• Comfortable around noise, dust and heights while wearing full PPE
• Willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays
• At least 1 year operating a processing plant
• Certificate of fitness from the mine medical station
• MQA minerals processing certificate at NQF 2 or higher

• Control room experience
• Forklift or overhead crane licence
