Domestic Helper (3 Days a Week)

You'll keep a large estate home in Lephalale clean, calm and running smoothly for the family. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Lephalale-based, with most of your time spent at a large estate home.

• Clean windows and patio doors once a week
• Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
• Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Water indoor plants and feed pets
• Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon

• Able to speak and understand basic English
• Good with children and patient
• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
• Able to handle a full-day physical routine

• Cooking experience with family meals
• A driver's licence for school lifts

• Transport money for live-out staff
• Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
• Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires

• Say plainly what you can and cannot do: cooking, ironing, childcare, driving. It avoids arguments later and families like honesty.
• Families hire on trust, so make references your strongest part. Write the employer's name, suburb, years worked and phone number for each one.
