Drainage Plumber (Blockages & CCTV)

You'll sort out burst geysers, leaks and blockages for the property management company in Atlantis. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

The site is in Atlantis; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Take photos and complete the insurer's claim report after each geyser job
• Install copper, PEX and PVC piping for new bathrooms and kitchens
• Install and repair soil and waste pipes to SANS 10400 Part P
• Fit toilets, basins, showers and mixers to the client's chosen finishes
• Clear blocked drains with a rodding machine and inspect lines with a drain camera

• Able to talk politely to home owners about damage and costs
• Code 08 licence and a clean driving record
• Plumbing trade test certificate or an Occupational Certificate: Plumber (NQF 4)
• At least 3 years as a qualified plumber, including geyser replacements

• SAQCC Gas registration for LPG installations
• Experience with insurance repair work and claim paperwork

• Paid PIRB renewal fee
• Protective clothing and safety boots replaced yearly
• Call-out bonus for every after-hours job you complete
• Fully stocked service van with a fuel card

• Do not list every plumbing task you have ever done. Focus on geysers, drainage and CoCs, which is what these jobs pay for.
• Mention how many geyser replacements you do in a normal month. It is the number most plumbing managers ask about.
