Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this parcel sorting hub in Centurion, and you move the stock in between. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The work is in Centurion, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Friendly with customers at the door

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
