Driver's Assistant (Parcel Routes)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this furniture retailer warehouse in Tembisa, and you move the stock in between. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a furniture retailer warehouse on the Tembisa side of Gauteng.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
