Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This residential electrical contractor in Benoni needs you on the tools. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a residential electrical contractor on the Benoni side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients
Fault-find tripping circuits with a multimeter, insulation tester and loop tester
Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats

Must-haves

Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter
Valid Code 08 driver's licence
Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations

Extra points for

Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs
PLC and motor control experience from a factory setting
