Electrical Artisan (Trade Tested) – Immediate Start

Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This food processing plant in Sandton needs you on the tools. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

Location: Sandton, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Fault-find tripping circuits with a multimeter, insulation tester and loop tester
• Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
• Read electrical layouts and mark out point positions before chasing walls
• Terminate armoured cable and fit glands on three-phase motor supplies

• Comfortable working at heights on ladders and in roof spaces
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes
• Registered with the Department of Employment and Labour as an Installation Electrician or holding a Wireman's licence
• Electrical trade test certificate (Section 13 or 26D) through a QCTO-accredited centre
• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter

• N3 electrical trade theory on top of your trade test
• Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs

• Provident fund and group risk cover after probation
• Standby allowance when you are on the after-hours roster
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
• Company bakkie for call-outs and travel between sites

• List two or three recent jobs with sizes, like a 60-point house rewire or a 10 kVA inverter install. It shows your level quickly.
