Electrician for CoC Inspections – Immediate Start

Got your trade test and a steady hand on a DB board? This shopfitting and retail fit-out firm in Tembisa needs you on the tools. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Tembisa. Relocation is not covered for this one. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Install inverters, battery banks and changeover switches for backup power clients
• Test installations and issue Certificates of Compliance where your registration allows
• Supervise and teach an electrical assistant or apprentice on site
• Replace faulty light fittings, plugs, geyser elements and thermostats
• Quote small jobs for clients and explain the fault in plain language
• Complete job cards, material lists and test reports at the end of each job
• Install and wire distribution boards, isolators and earth leakage units to SANS 10142-1

• Your own basic hand tools and a calibrated multimeter
• At least 3 years working as a qualified electrician after your trade test
• Valid Code 08 driver's licence
• Solid working knowledge of SANS 10142-1 and the Electrical Installation Regulations
• Clean criminal record, since you will work inside client homes

• Working at Heights certificate still in date
• Master Installation Electrician registration for three-phase CoCs
• N3 electrical trade theory on top of your trade test

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekends
• Company-issued test instruments, calibrated every year
• Provident fund and group risk cover after probation

• List two or three recent jobs with sizes, like a 60-point house rewire or a 10 kVA inverter install. It shows your level quickly.
