Electrician's Assistant (House Wiring)

Every wall and slab on this townhouse construction site in Bellville needs labourers, and the crew needs one more. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

• Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
• Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
• Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed
• Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
• Dig trenches and foundations to the depth the foreman marks
• Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
• Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer

• A clean record is preferred for some government sites
• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
• Prepared to travel between sites in the area

• Some experience with a jackhammer, grinder or plate compactor
