End-User Computing Technician

Tickets come in all day at this managed IT services provider in Bellville, and you close them. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Bellville, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Escalate network and server faults to second or third line with good notes
• Keep the asset register up to date when equipment moves
• Image, set up and hand over new laptops and desktops
• Install and configure printers, scanners and docking stations
• Write short how-to guides for common user problems
• Visit branches or sites to fix issues that need hands on the machine

• Basic networking: IP addresses, DNS, DHCP and Wi-Fi
• Able to log clear, complete ticket notes
• At least 1 year of help desk or desktop support (not needed for intern posts)
• Matric plus an IT qualification, such as CompTIA A+ or an IT diploma

• Experience supporting point-of-sale or medical devices
• CompTIA Network+ or Microsoft MD-102 certification
• ITIL Foundation

• Paid certification exams after probation
• Standby pay for after-hours cover
