Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Frail Care) – Experienced

You'll give hands-on nursing care at a physical rehabilitation hospital in Centurion, working alongside registered nurses. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The site is in Centurion; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Help patients walk, transfer from bed to chair and do their exercises
• Do simple wound dressings and report anything that looks infected
• Turn bed-bound patients on schedule and check pressure areas for early sores
• Make beds, change linen and keep the rooms clean and uncluttered
• Spot confusion, falls risk or changes in mood and tell the nurse in charge
• Hand out oral medication under the supervision of a registered nurse

• Matric or NQF Level 4 equivalent
• Able to work shifts, including nights and weekends
• SANC enrolment as an Enrolled Nurse or Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for nursing posts
• Patient and gentle with elderly, frail or confused people

• Experience in a frail care or hospice setting
• Code B or Code 8 driver's licence for home visits

• Overtime paid at time and a half
• Transport home after late shifts at some facilities
• Uniform supplied
• Meals provided on shift at many frail care centres
