Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary (Frail Care) – Entry Level

Your care keeps residents at a retirement village frail care centre in Isando safe, clean and comfortable through the day. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is in Isando (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily.

• Take and chart temperature, pulse, blood pressure and blood glucose
• Help patients bath, dress, eat and use the toilet with dignity
• Help patients walk, transfer from bed to chair and do their exercises
• Keep the fluid and food intake charts accurate for every patient
• Hand out oral medication under the supervision of a registered nurse
• Do simple wound dressings and report anything that looks infected
• Follow infection control rules, including hand hygiene and safe sharps disposal

• Able to work shifts, including nights and weekends
• Physically strong enough to lift and move patients safely
• At least 1 year of hands-on patient care
• Patient and gentle with elderly, frail or confused people

• Uniform supplied
• Meals provided on shift at many frail care centres
• Transport home after late shifts at some facilities

• Name the type of patients you've cared for, such as stroke patients or dementia residents, in your first CV line.
