Job Description

A family in Kempton Park wants someone they can trust with their retired couple's cottage and their children. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a retired couple's cottage on the Kempton Park side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

What you'll actually do

Keep a list of cleaning supplies running low for the employer
Wash dishes and keep the kitchen tidy after meals
Water indoor plants and feed pets
Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry
Help an elderly person with meals, medication reminders and light walking
Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked

Must-haves

South African ID or valid work permit
Able to speak and understand basic English
Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
Good with children and patient

Nice if you have

Non-smoker
Experience caring for an older person
Cooking experience with family meals

On offer

Paid annual leave and public holidays as the law requires

Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
