Estate Housekeeper (Large Home)

You'll keep a large estate home in Khayelitsha clean, calm and running smoothly for the family. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

The work is in Khayelitsha, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Dust furniture, ornaments and skirting boards
• Prepare simple meals or school lunches when asked
• Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and living areas on a weekly rotation
• Clean windows and patio doors once a week
• Change bed linen and make beds
• Get children ready for school and supervise homework in the afternoon
• Wash, hang, iron and fold the household's laundry

• Neat, organised and able to work without being supervised
• South African ID or valid work permit
• Trustworthy, with references from previous employers you can share
• Willing to follow the family's house rules and routines
• Able to speak and understand basic English

• Written contract with fixed hours and duties
• Transport money for live-out staff
• Own room with bathroom for live-in posts
• Registered for UIF and COIDA by the employer
