Estate Security Supervisor

Step up from guarding into supervising on a retail portfolio in Welkom. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

You'll be based at a retail portfolio in Welkom. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Do surprise night visits to check posts

• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Available after hours for emergencies
• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

• Own reliable vehicle
• Mining or hospital security experience

• Management training for growth to operations manager
• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles
• Cellphone allowance

• If you have been upgraded through the grades, show the progression. It proves you grew on the job.
• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
