Estimator (Tenders & Pricing)

You'll measure, price and manage the money on building projects for the shopfitting company in Centurion. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a shopfitting company in Centurion. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Take off quantities from drawings to build a bill of quantities
• Track budget against actual cost and flag overruns early
• Measure work on site for monthly interim payment certificates
• Update cash flow forecasts for the project manager
• Draft subcontract agreements and payment schedules

• Code 08 licence for site visits
• Understanding of JBCC Principal Building Agreement clauses
• BSc, BTech or Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• At least 3 years of QS work in private practice or with a contractor
• Strong Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables

• SACQSP registration as a Professional or Candidate QS
• Honours degree in Quantity Surveying
• Estimating software experience on top of Excel

• Travel allowance for site visits
• Study support for an honours degree
• Paid SACQSP registration fees and CPD courses
