Evening Turndown Housekeeper – Entry Level

You'll turn rooms around at a beachfront holiday resort in Kempton Park so every guest walks into a room that feels new. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is in Kempton Park (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Vacuum, dust and check the minibar in each room
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Log lost property with the guest's room number and date
• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Load, wash, dry and press linen in the hotel laundry

• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses
• Friendly and polite if you meet guests in the corridor
• Honest, since you work in guests' rooms alone
• Grade 10 or matric

• Previous hotel or guesthouse housekeeping experience
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate

• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges
• Uniform supplied and laundered

• Mention seasonal availability for December and Easter. Coastal and lodge properties hire heavily before those peaks.
