Evening Turndown Housekeeper

You'll turn rooms around at a conference hotel in Pretoria West so every guest walks into a room that feels new. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Pretoria West. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Do evening turndowns, closing curtains and setting out slippers
• Clean bathrooms, replace towels and restock guest toiletries
• Strip and make beds to the hotel's standard, hospital corners included
• Keep your trolley stocked and neat before each shift
• Report maintenance faults like dripping taps or broken lights

• Available on weekends, holidays and in peak season
• Well groomed
• Grade 10 or matric
• Physically able to push trolleys and turn mattresses

• Experience with industrial laundry machines
• A hospitality short course or NQF Level 2 accommodation services certificate
• Speaking a foreign language for tourist guests

• Meals on duty from the staff kitchen
• Share of the service charge or guest tips
• Staff accommodation at remote lodges

• Write how many rooms you usually cleaned per shift. Head housekeepers care about pace as much as quality.
