Event Security Steward (Stadium)

Residents and staff at a construction yard in Upington need to feel safe when they arrive; that is your job. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll report in Upington. Relocation is not covered for this one. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Clean criminal record
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
