Facilities Maintenance Handyman (Office Park)

The shopping centre in Kimberley needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll be based at a shopping centre in Kimberley. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Clear gutters and fix minor roof leaks with sealant
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used

• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Code 08 licence to run errands to the hardware store
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• At least 2 years of general building maintenance work you can back up with references

• Gate motor and intercom repair skills
• Basic first aid certificate
• Pool and borehole pump experience

• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
