Job Description

You'll drive tractors and farm machines on a wheat farm near Mahikeng through planting and harvest. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

You'll report in Mahikeng. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers
Plant rows straight, using GPS guidance where the tractor has it
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season

You'll need

At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Reliable and sober on duty
Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
Basic understanding of implements and settings

Extra points for

A pesticide application or spray course
Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
Basic mechanical skills
