Job Description

Planting to harvest, a wheat farm near Newcastle runs on good tractor drivers. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

You'll be based at a wheat farm in Newcastle. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What you'll actually do

Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
Haul cane, grain or fruit bins from field to shed
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting

Must-haves

Can read job cards and spray instructions
Reliable and sober on duty
Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
Available to live on or near the farm
At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm

Extra points for

Experience with GPS guidance or auto-steer
Code 8 or Code 10 licence for road trips
