Field Sales Rep (Informal Trade & Spaza)

Shelves sell the product, and at this hardware and paint supplier you'll keep them full, neat and priced right. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

The site is in Sandton; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

• Set up promotional displays and check planogram compliance with photos.
• Visit 8 to 15 outlets a day on a planned call cycle.
• Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
• Pack shelves, rotate stock and remove damaged or expired lines.
• Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.
• Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
• Run in-store tastings and demos on month-end weekends.

• Physically able to lift cases and pack shelves
• You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
• 1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
• A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
• Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting

• Existing relationships with independent retailers
• A sales or marketing certificate

• Product samples and staff pricing
• Branded uniform and safety boots
• Cellphone and data allowance
• Company vehicle or car allowance plus petrol card
