Finance Manager (SME) – Fixed-Term

You'll own the monthly numbers for an agricultural co-operative in Cape Town CBD, from journals to the management pack. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is in Cape Town CBD (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased

• Consolidation experience across several companies
• Power BI or a similar BI tool

• Study assistance for board exams
• Medical aid and retirement fund contributions
• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
• Paid professional body membership fees

• Show what you improved, such as "cut month-end close from 10 days to 6"; results beat task lists.
• Recruiters check Excel skill live, so be ready to build a pivot table and a reconciliation in the interview.
