Finance Manager (SME)

Your reports shape real decisions at this national retail chain head office in Kathu, so they must be right. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

This post is in Kathu (Northern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads

• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
