Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a logistics company in Harrismith, from journals to the management pack. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a logistics company in Harrismith. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
