Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a national retail chain head office in Johannesburg CBD, from journals to the management pack. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is in Johannesburg CBD (Gauteng). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary

• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased

• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Completed articles at an audit firm
