Financial Accountant (Manufacturing)

You'll own the monthly numbers for a national retail chain head office in Randburg, from journals to the management pack. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

This post is Randburg-based, with most of your time spent at a national retail chain head office. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Prepare monthly management accounts with variance commentary
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules

• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT

• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
