Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining)

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Epping needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at a mid-sized manufacturing group. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Build budgets and rolling forecasts with department heads
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• Consolidation experience across several companies
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Completed articles at an audit firm
