Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining)

Month-end, year-end and audit prep all run through you at an audit and advisory firm in Komani. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Location: Komani, Eastern Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance

• Experience on an ERP such as Sage X3, Sage 300, Syspro or SAP Business One
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups

• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Consolidation experience across several companies
• Completed articles at an audit firm

• Hybrid schedule outside month-end week
