Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining)

A national retail chain head office in Phalaborwa needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Maintain the fixed asset register and depreciation schedules
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• Working knowledge of IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
