Fixed Asset Accountant (Mining) – Permanent

You'll own the monthly numbers for a mid-sized manufacturing group in Vereeniging, from journals to the management pack. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Location: Vereeniging, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and clear old reconciling items
• Review creditors, debtors and payroll journals from the clerks
• Calculate provisional tax and check the VAT201 before submission
• Draft annual financial statements under IFRS or IFRS for SMEs
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance

• Understanding of South African income tax and VAT
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree
• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience

• Completed articles at an audit firm
• CIMA qualification for management accounting posts
• Power BI or a similar BI tool
