Fleet Administrator (Licences and Services) – Immediate Start

Get off the road and into the control office at a bus and coach operator in Somerset West. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Somerset West, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics

• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Good with Excel and email
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong

• Logistics or supply chain certificate
• Knowledge of cross-border documentation

• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems

• Give the fleet size and route types you handled, for example "40 trucks, long-haul and local". Hiring managers want scale.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
