Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift)

Behind every truck on the road is a controller; at a bus and coach operator in Mamelodi, that could be you. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Location: Mamelodi, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity

• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• Matric
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Good with Excel and email

• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Growth to transport manager
• Office-based work with a steady roster

• Mention the tracking and Excel skills you have. Bring an example report if you are allowed to share one.
• If you drove trucks before, say so. Controllers who know the road earn quick respect from drivers.
