Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift) – Fixed-Term

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a distribution depot in Phalaborwa, keeping every trip on time. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is in Phalaborwa (Limpopo). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Keep a register of PrDP and licence expiry dates for all drivers
• Arrange breakdown recovery and replacement vehicles
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries

• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Good with Excel and email
• Knowledge of South African road freight regulations
• At least 2 years in transport or logistics

• Previous truck driving experience
• Transport management system (TMS) experience

• Growth to transport manager
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Office-based work with a steady roster
