Fleet Tracking Controller (Night Shift) – Fixed-Term

You'll plan the loads and watch the trucks for a courier operations centre in Randburg, keeping every trip on time. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a courier operations centre on the Randburg side of Gauteng. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Book vehicle services, licence renewals and roadworthy tests
• Update customers on delivery times and delays
• Plan daily loads to use full truck capacity
• Compile daily reports on trips completed and late deliveries
• Capture trip sheets, fuel and toll costs on the system
• Check driver hours so nobody drives too long without rest
• Assign trucks and drivers to routes and track them on telematics

• Good with Excel and email
• Able to work shifts in a 24-hour control office
• Clear on the phone with drivers and customers
• Calm and decisive when things go wrong
• Matric

• Training on the fleet and tracking systems
• Office-based work with a steady roster
• Cellphone allowance for standby shifts
