Job Description

This beverage distributor needs a rep in Midrand who knows the shops, the owners and the numbers. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Home base is a beverage distributor on the Midrand side of Gauteng.

The work, day to day

Send your manager a daily report with volumes against target.
Check shelf prices against the promo list and fix wrong tickets.
Collect cash or EFT proof on van sales and bank daily.
Handle returns and credit claims for damaged stock.
Take orders from store managers and spaza owners on the sales app.
Open new accounts with taverns, spazas and independent retailers.

Must-haves

You know the townships, suburbs and main roads of your area
Good with people from store managers to tuck-shop owners
1 to 3 years of FMCG, merchandising or route sales experience
Comfortable with a smartphone sales app and WhatsApp reporting
A valid Code 08 (Code B) driver's licence, for rep roles
Matric

Helpful, not essential

Existing relationships with independent retailers
A sales or marketing certificate
Speaking two or more local languages
