Job Description

Planting to harvest, a sugar cane estate near East London runs on good tractor drivers. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a sugar cane estate in East London. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

What your day looks like

Clear firebreaks and grade farm roads when needed
Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers
Operate combine harvesters during harvest season
Mix and apply sprays exactly as the farm manager prescribes
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card

What you need

Reliable and sober on duty
Basic understanding of implements and settings
Safe driver who respects chemical and machine safety
Available to live on or near the farm
