Job Description

If you know tractors, a sugar cane estate near Sasolburg has steady work for you. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Sasolburg, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What your day looks like

Record hours, fuel and fields worked on the job card
Check oil, water, tyres and grease points before starting
Report breakdowns and help the mechanic with repairs
Wash equipment after spraying and store chemicals safely
Hook up and drive ploughs, discs, planters and sprayers

What you need

Basic understanding of implements and settings
Reliable and sober on duty
Can read job cards and spray instructions
Willing to work long hours in planting and harvest seasons
At least 2 years driving tractors on a farm

Extra points for

Experience with GPS guidance or auto-steer
Combine harvester experience
