Home base is a day surgery clinic on the Kempton Park side of Gauteng. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Disinfect bed rails, call bells and bedside lockers
• Clean patient rooms using colour-coded cloths and mops for each area
• Fill in cleaning logs so infection control can audit the ward
• Take soiled linen to the sluice room and bring clean linen back
• Wear gowns, masks and gloves as each room requires
