Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a liquor store in Richards Bay needs extra hands. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Richards Bay-based, with most of your time spent at a liquor store. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Build promotional displays at the ends of aisles
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Put up price tickets and promotion shelf strips
• Visit several stores on a merchandising route and send photos of shelves

• Grade 10 or matric
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
• Basic reading and maths for price checks

• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Some till or cash-handling experience
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work

• Staff discount on groceries
• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Chance to move into till or department roles

• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
