You'll be based at a game lodge in Alberton. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
• Quote flights, car hire and holiday packages on a GDS such as Amadeus or Galileo.
• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.

• Honest with cash and card payments
• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• You can work rotating shifts, including nights
