Job Description

Write clean code, review pull requests and fix what breaks at a software development house in Midrand. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

Location: Midrand, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning

What you need

Experience writing automated tests
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
