Job Description

Fruit from a citrus packhouse near Lephalale ends up on shelves overseas, packed by your hands. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Lephalale, Limpopo. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first.

What you'll actually do

Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Follow food safety rules like hand washing and no jewellery
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Help clean the line and machines at the end of the day
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Stick labels and batch codes on each carton
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them

What you need

Basic counting and reading for labels
Follows hygiene rules at all times
Arrives on time for early shifts
Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Quick and neat with your hands

Helpful, not essential

Matric for QC posts
Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Previous packhouse work
