Job Description

Fruit from a citrus packhouse near Pietermaritzburg ends up on shelves overseas, packed by your hands. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

You'll report in Pietermaritzburg. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Stack empty cartons and punnets ready for the next run
Check fruit samples and record quality results on the QC sheet
Pack cartons to the export pattern and weight
Build pallets to the correct height and strap them
Keep your packing station clean and free of stems and leaves

You'll need

Available for the full packing season including Saturdays
Basic counting and reading for labels
Able to stand at a line for long shifts
Arrives on time for early shifts

Knowledge of export standards like GLOBALG.A.P.
Previous packhouse work
Matric for QC posts
