Gate Security Officer (Residential Estate)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a private school campus in Kariega for PSIRA-registered officers. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll be based at a private school campus in Kariega. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers

• Firefighting or evacuation training
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
