General Maintenance Technician (Hotel) – Fixed-Term

Handy with a drill, a paintbrush and a tap washer? The shopping centre in Pretoria East has a list waiting for you. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

Home base is a shopping centre on the Pretoria East side of Gauteng. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Change globes, fluorescent tubes and plug covers (no DB work)
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Replace tap washers, cisterns, shower heads and toilet seats

• Grade 10 at least; matric is a plus
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must
• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units

• Basic first aid certificate
• Experience with a work order system on a phone app

• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
