General Maintenance Technician (Hotel)

The private school in Tembisa needs a reliable all-rounder to keep the buildings safe and looking good. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a private school on the Tembisa side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Hang doors, fit locks and adjust sliding door rails
• Service pool pumps, gate motors and garage door openers
• Check fire extinguishers, emergency lights and escape routes on a monthly checklist
• Work through the maintenance log each morning and prioritise urgent requests
• Patch, sand and paint walls, doors and ceilings between tenants
• Keep the maintenance store tidy and track stock used

• Honest and trusted to work inside occupied units
• Available for the occasional weekend emergency
• Basic painting, tiling, plumbing and carpentry skills
• Your own tools are a plus, but safe tool handling is a must

• On-site accommodation at some estates
• Training on specialised equipment like gate motors and pool plant
• Uniform and safety boots supplied
• Meals on duty at hotel sites
