Grade R Teacher (Primary School) – Entry Level

This post is Epping-based, with most of your time spent at an independent primary school. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Teach your allocated classes and keep the pace of the ATP
• Meet parents to discuss progress, behaviour and support plans
• Give extra lessons to learners who are falling behind
• Set, mark and moderate formal assessment tasks for the term
• Plan weekly lessons against the CAPS annual teaching plan

• Good spoken and written command of the language of teaching
• You can manage a class of 35 or more without losing control
• At least 1 year of classroom teaching, including teaching practice
• Sound knowledge of CAPS and the assessment policy for your phase

• Experience with remedial or inclusive education
• Honours degree in your subject or in education management
• Comfortable with Google Classroom or Microsoft Teams for homework
