Job Description

Harvest time on a vegetable farm near Cape Town CBD means early mornings, full crates and paid overtime. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

The work is in Cape Town CBD, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day.

What you'll actually do

  • Plant seedlings in rows at the spacing shown
  • Prune and thin fruit trees and vines to the farm's method
  • Keep your picking card or tag count for daily pay
  • Clean and store picking bags, ladders and secateurs
  • Tie up tomato and pepper plants in tunnels

You'll need

  • Follows farm hygiene and safety rules
  • Valid ID or work permit
  • Available for the full harvest season
  • Physically fit for bending, lifting and climbing ladders
  • Able to work outdoors in heat, cold and rain
  • Willing to start at sunrise

Nice if you have

  • Tractor or quad bike experience
  • Pruning experience on vines or fruit trees
